The Toledo Waterways Initiative (TWI) is a federally mandated environmental program to reduce pollution in Toledo’s waterways stemming from many Combined Sewer Overflows scattered throughout the drainage basin. NCI served as a core team member along with Tetra Tech for the Program Manager Black & Veatch. The team was responsible for the conceptual layout and modeling of a 36 MG Storage Basin, 294 MGD firm capacity Pump Station with an installed capacity of 353 MGD, and the upstream Conveyance System. NCI was specifically responsible for the design and routing analysis of the upstream Conveyance system, Storage Basin layout and sizing and storm sewer separation schemes.
