NCI’s role on this project included conducting the Technical SEE Studies of I-94 from I-196 to M-140 in Berrien County, including the bridge studies for the bridges carrying I-94 over Hennesey Road and M-140. The project included a condition survey of existing cross-culverts (videotaping), hydraulic survey and analysis for all 17 crossings, roadway scoping for I-94 and the Friday Road and M-140 interchanges, bridge scoping for the four bridges carrying I-94 over Hennesey Road and M-140, development of the maintaining traffic plans, and cost estimates. Base plans and reports were developed including conformance to design elements, roadway scoping, bridge scoping, MOT concepts, constructability, hydraulic analysis, interchange ramp improvements/extensions, utility coordination, and cost estimates.
