NCI was responsible for the survey, design, and plan preparation for the construction of a new grade separation to eliminate the existing at-grade crossing at Glenwood Ave. and US-6/24 in Napoleon, Ohio. The preliminary engineering phase of this project involved preparing the red flag summary, surveying, and preparing the preliminary engineering study. Final roadway design involved realigning 1800 feet of Glenwood Ave., removing the at-grade crossing along 700 feet of US-6/24, embankment construction, driveway relocations, guardrail design, and open/closed drainage design. The new bridge designed was a 2-span composite steel plate girder superstructure with a total span of 250’ on a 45-degree skew.
