This project involved survey, design, and construction administration for 2,400 feet of Evergreen Road in Ottawa Hills. The survey for this project involved establishing horizontal and vertical control points using State Plane Coordinates, conducting a complete topographical survey, and performing pipe survey of the existing storm sewers. Survey also included picking up monument boxes in the area to reestablish the existing right-of-way.

The existing concrete base and curb & gutter were removed and a new aggregate base was placed with new asphalt & type 6 curb during the reconstruction of this road. Due to several asphalt overlays over the years, to maintain the existing curb height, the vertical profile had to be lowered throughout the majority of the project. Storm sewer improvements were also done by replacing an old 12” clay system with 12” reinforced concrete pipe and adding several additional curb inlets to help limit pavement spread. Sidewalk panels were also replaced as needed and all signs were replaced and upgraded to current standards.
