Bridges, Roads and Marathons – All in a Day’s Work

Bridge Engineer by Day

Congratulations to Brett Merillat who just passed his Professional Engineering Exam. Originally from Hudson, Michigan, he is a 2013 graduate of Spring Arbor University (BA Mathematics & Physics), and the University of Michigan (BS Civil & Environmental Engineering).

Always a problem solver, Brett loves applying his engineering and environmental skills to craft innovative, cost-effective, and time sensitive solutions to challenging site conditions and design constraints. He is excited to expand his role and continue to develop as one of NCI’s top civil engineers!

Marathon Runner by Night

A passionate Wolverines fan, Brett enjoys living in the “border city” and sharing the OSU vs. UM rivalry with his wife, a graduate of The Ohio State University. An avid runner, Brett qualified for and ran the Boston Marathon this past April, and loves to train with his Australian Shepherd, Boston, in his free time.

When he’s not watching the Pistons or the Wolverines, he enjoys sampling the delicious pizza offerings in Toledo, although his favorite by far remains Giordano’s deep dish pizza from Chicago.
